Coming Home

We just returned from Albuquerque and Las Vegas. This past weekend was a dry one!  Our show in New Mexico took place in an airplane hangar, where hundreds of people came together to support The Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that has helped hundreds of wounded soldiers receive various types of support.  It was clear to me that everyone who attended this event had a generous heart with every intention to share it with the next person.  After a splendid rock 'n roll concert, many went home with their silent auction items, and the band crashed for the night so we could get up to catch our Southwest Airlines flight to Las Vegas.  Staying off the strip at The Orleans Hotel allowed us to be at the venue without worry!  Another successful show and fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project uplifted everyone in the audience; a highlight was seeing a recovering soldier stand and dance with his girlfriend during the song, "Hero."  Everyone in the theater stood up for them, applauding and beaming at the same time.  After the performance, band members gathered together for drinks at the Mardi Gras Bar on the casino floor, where all of us so clearly enjoyed each other's company.  I don't know if anyone won big at the slots...
